There will be no Day rail block for commuters on Western Railway on Sunday. This has come as a relief to several passengers as trains will ply as per schedule.

MUMBAI: There will be no Day rail block for commuters on Western Railway on Sunday. This has come as a relief to several passengers as trains will ply as per schedule.
"We just conducted a night rail block till wee hours of Sunday. It was undertaken from 1 am to 4 am on Up and Down Local (i.e. slow) lines between Vasai Road and Virar for maintenance of track, signalling and overhead equipments," a Western Railway spokesperson said.

During the block, all Up and Down Churchgate-Virar locals ran on through (i.e. fast) lines between Virar and Vasai Road/Borivali.
"We decided not to undertake any rail block on Sunday,'' he added.
