Mumbai roads like Coastal Road and Sea link closed for traffic during Tata Marathon 2026

Mumbai: Most roads, including the Coastal Road and the Bandra Worli Sea Link, leading to South Mumbai and other parts of the city is closed on Sunday after Mumbai Traffic Police issued an order to facilitate the Tata Marathon-2026 in Greater Mumbai and provide a free way for runners.The order said the marathon route passed through Azad Maidan, Kalbadevi, D B Marg, Tardeo, Worli, Bandra, Dadar and Mahim Traffic Division, and traffic on the route needed to be diverted by making alternate arrangements through necessary orders.The order was issued on a temporary basis till completion of the Tata Mumbai Marathon Race. "There would be free access to ambulances carrying patients, fire brigade vehicles, and vehicles of essential services carrying milk, gas and vegetables on the below mentioned roads," said additional commissioner of police (Traffic) Dr Priyanka Narnaware.The following routes are marked as no entry — MG Road from Metro Junction and Bombay Hospital Lane Junction, KB Patil Marg, Veer Nariman Road, Madam Cama Road, Purshottam Thakurdas Road, Charanjeet Das Marg from DN Road, Walchand Hirachand Marg, Cooprage Road, Maharshi Karve Road, Dorabaji Tata Road NCPA to Murli Devera Chowk, A D'mello Road, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road, Kala Ghoda Junction, NA Purandare Road, Mafatlal Junction, DW Road, HT Parikh Marg, SVP Road, Walkeshwar Road, Pandita Rambai Marg (South Bound), Hughes Road, Gopalrao Deshmukh Marg, Dahanukar South Road (Carmichal Junction), Tardeo Road, SVS Road, Dr Annie Besant Road, Thadani Road, Coastal Road, Bandra Worli Sea Link, LK Mehata Road up to lalmitti approaching marathon route, KC Marg, Sheetla devi Road Hariom Junction to L.J.
