Mumbai megablock alert: Major disruptions on Central and Harbour lines today

Central Railway, Mumbai Division, is conducting a megablock on its suburban lines today for engineering and maintenance works. The Matunga-Mulund fast lines and the Harbour line between CSMT and Chunabhatti/Bandra will be affected. Passengers may experience delays and are requested to use alternative routes.

MUMBAI: Central Railway, Mumbai Division, is operating a megablock on its suburban sections today, carrying out various engineering and maintenance works.
On the Main line, the block is on the Matunga-Mulund fast lines from 11.15 am to 3.45 pm. The Up fast line services leaving Thane from 11.03 am to 3.38 pm will be diverted onto the Up slow line at Mulund station, halting as per their respective stops between Mulund and Matunga stations.
They will be re-diverted onto the Up fast line at Matunga station and will arrive at their destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
On the Harbour line, the block is on the Up and Down lines between CSMT and Chunabhatti/Bandra from 11.10 am to 4.40 pm. However, special services will run between Panvel-Kurla-Panvel during the block period. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western line stations until 6 pm.
These maintenance megablocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the railway.
