Xavier Worthy reportedly arrested on a family violence assault charge

Former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Xavier Worthy has been taken into custody in Williamson County on charges of assault. The rising NFL star has been booked for third-degree felony assault against a family or household member, specifically for allegedly obstructing their breathing or circulation. This charge, applicable to Worthy alleges that his action was "intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly hindering the normal breathing or blood circulation of another person by exerting pressure on their throat or neck, or by obstructing their nose or mouth."
