"Mudassar Patel is my ideal in Mumbai when it comes to doing selfless services. He has set an example with his tireless work and great, admirable efforts to help the needy, " said Mirza.
He added that the blessed month of Ramzan gave Mudassar Patel yet another occasion to reach out to the needy with ration kits.
Patel who had received admiration from different quarters for his help to the needy during the lockdowns due to pandemic arrived from Umrah on Wednesday morning and got down to helping the poor the same day.
"I have great respect for Mudassar Patel's work. He returned from Umrah this morning and came to help the poor in the afternoon. I have seen how tirelessly he worked for the poor during the pandemic. We gave our Mahim school to him to use and distribute ration among the needy during the lockdowns, " said Dr Kazi.

Addressing the beneficiaries, mostly mothers of the students at the school and junior college, Patel said it was God who feeds everyone.
"Who am I to give you ration? It is, God who made me a medium. I am privileged that young dynamic leader like Dr Wajahat Mirza, Dr Kazi and my teacher Prof Kalania appreciate my work. I will keep doing this work,"said Patel.
