Mumbai: AI employee murder suspect loses bail plea

A sessions court rejected the bail plea of an accused, on Saturday, allegedly involved in the 2019 murder of

an engineer with Air India.

Panchal (59) was murdered as he had mediated a Rs 55 lakh loan to a third party, who did not pay up.

Jayantibhai Patel (64), a Gujarat-based businessman and financer, and his aides Gopal Karan alias Parmar (27) and Rajubhai Agath (35) were booked in the case.

The court rejected Agath’s bail plea saying, “...there are witness statements showing that there was a dispute.” TNN
