MUMBAI: Of the 2.14 lakh students seeking admission to FYJC in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), around 2.13 lakh been provided a junior college seat via online as well as offline admissions.
When asked about the remaining 1,000 students, Mumbai's deputy director of education V K Wankhede said that many of them may have opted for admissions at industrial training institutes or polytechnics instead of a regular junior college
.While there is no record of whether any student was yet to make it to a junior college seat, Wankhede said such students should directly approach colleges for admission,'' he added.
