MUMBAI: It's not often that judges go to watch a film in a group. But that's just what a few judges of the Bombay high court did on Saturday when one among them, Justice S Radhakrishnan, organised a special screening of Halla Bol, Raj Kumar Santoshi's latest movie. The screening was at a preview theatre in south Mumbai and all HC judges were invited. The film, showcasing a citizen's fight for justice—inspired by the Jessica Lall murder case and to some extent, the Zahira Shaikh episode, captivated the judges. The seven judges who watched the film included Justice Dhananjay Chandrachud, Roshan Dalvi, Ranjana Desai, Ajay Khanvilkar, J P Devadhar and Anoop Mohta. Justice Radhakrishnan said it was brilliant. It has a strong message on the people's power and how the projection of the media can be a big aid to the restoration of justice.
