A panel, set up by the Supreme Court to probe alleged malpractices, including spot-fixing and betting, in IPL matches, has submitted its interim report to the court.

The SC last month extended the probe deadline by two months and slated the next hearing for November 10.
The crime branch, which had probed the IPL betting and spot-fixing case, submitted forensic reports, claiming the voice samples of Chennai Super Kings principal Gurunath Meiyappan and Vindu matched with that of people in a supposedly incriminating taped conversation. This will form additional evidence to the claim that Meiyappan had discussed inside details, like team constitution and the probable match results, with Vindu. Officers claim to have transcripts of phone conversations, including those among bookies. In September 2013, the crime branch submitted the chargesheet against 22, including Meiyappan and Vindu.
