CBI arrested prominent Pune-based businessman
Avinash Bhosale
in Mumbai on Thursday, a month after raiding his premises in the Yes Bank-DHFL loan fraud case. CBI will produce him in court on Friday.
Bhosale is reputed to be a developer with strong political connections across the spectrum. It is alleged that he helped DHFL and Radius group in diversion of funds fraudulently availed of as loan from Yes Bank. Earlier, the CBI had arrested Radius group head
Sanjay Chhabria in the case.
Bhosale is also under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate in other cases. Earlier, ED had attached a plot of land worth Rs 4 crore in Pune where Bhosale’s corporate office, Avinash
Bhosale
Infrastructure Ltd or ABIL, is situated, in a money laundering case. The current market value of the plot along with the building is around Rs 100 crore.
