MUMBAI: The Bombay high court is set to pronounce its judgment on Tuesday on bail pleas of two prime accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case—Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and

Lt Col Prasad Purohit

. The two had moved the HC after getting no relief from a special court that tries terror cases probed by the NIA under the Unlawful Activity (Prevention) Act.

Thakur’s counsel Avinash Gupta with J P Mishra had earlier submitted that the bike on which the bomb was planted did not belong to her, and that even the NIA had said that ATS had no case against her. Purohit’s counsel Shrikant Shivade said records show no explosives, including RDX, were missing from seizures made during his tenure in J&K in 2002-04. Purohit has been accused of using RDX from that seizure for the 2008 blast.
