Mumbai: CCI cueists Krish Bajaj and Raj Khandwala registered easy wins in the third qualifying round matches of the CCI Snooker Classic 2023 at Cricket Club of India halls on Sunday.
While Bajaj got the better of Rahul Bisht 3-1 (36-16, 7-49, 59-31, 73-24), Khandwala blanked Ronak Dedhia 3-0 (70-40, 71-48, 51-22) in their respective best-of-five-frame matches.
Meanwhile, Saad Sayed of Pune qualified for the main draw as he outclassed Pratyush Somayajula 4-0 (71-19, 57-50, 50-46, and 91-19) in the final qualifying round match.

The U-15 Boys’ title clash will see second seed Tamil Nadu lad Rahul Balakrishnan taking on UP’s top seed Yusha Nafees. In the last four clashes, Rahul beat Maharashtra’s Anshuman Jaising 11-5, 12-10, 10-12, 7-11, 11-9 while Nafees defeated Maharashtra’s Ishaan Dabke 11-9, 4-111, 11-0, 11-3.
Jana sprints to double goldRiday Jana of Sprinters Sports Club won both the men’s 100 and 200 metres gold in the 45th Bombay YMCA State-Level Annual Athletic Meet at the Mumbai University Pavilion. Jana dominated the 100m, finishing in 11.12 seconds and also won the 200 metres gold, crossing the line in 22.36 secs
