Drugs worth Rs 13 crore seized by Navi Mumbai cops, three peddlers arrested

Navi Mumbai: Vashi police seized hydroponic weed worth Rs 13 crore and arrested three peddlers. An FIR has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.Shashikant Chandekar, senior inspector of Vashi, said, "On Wednesday night, beat marshal police constables Rahul Bhoi and Ashok Shinde were on patrol duty when they received a tip-off that drug suppliers would be coming near Vashi railway station in a four-wheeler around 9 am the next day to sell the weed".
Chandekar also added, "The arrested accused are Shyam Shivkumar Vanwani (45), a resident of Ulhasnagar, Sandeep Dilip Patil (35), and Aniket Sunil Telangi (27), both from Pune. They have been remanded to police custody for four days." The car, their mobile phones, and Rs 28,000 cash in their possession were also seized.
