A person from her husband’s office had booked the services of an app-based courier company for the purpose.
“I got a message about the booking and name of the person who would come to pick it up. However, after sometime I got a call from the person who said that he was at Nepean Sea Road and the app was not showing the correct address. He said he will cancel the booking. Later, we made the booking second time and I got a message. I again got a call and the person said he was in Dadar and would reach in 20 to 25 minutes to collect the laptop,” she said.
In sometime, a man came to her residence to collect the laptop. The person registered his name as Sandeep in the building’s entry register. He displayed his ID card and left with the laptop. “Within sometime another man came and said he had come to collect the laptop.”
Later, the courier company said that none of their men had collected the parcel.
