Coronavirus India live news: Gujarat, Karnataka to go under total lockdown till March 31
Lockdown in Delhi, Mumbai, Noida, Gurugram and other major cities of India has been announced following a steep rise in number of Covid-19 confirmed cases in the country. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central govt has directed states to strictly enforce lockdown and take legal action against violators. The maximum number of cases have being reported from Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi, and Rajasthan. Stay with TOI for all updates:
A 69-year-old man from Surat on Sunday became the first victim to the coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) in Gujarat. State health minister Nitin Patel mentioned that with five new confirmed cases on Sunday, the total tally has now reached 18.
