Civic body proposes township over 69 acres in Airoli, Navi Mumbai
Navi Mumbai: Cidco has decided to develop an integrated residential township spread over 69 acres of land in Airoli. Plot number 20 in Sector 10A will be given to a successful bidder who offers the highest revenue share percentage to Cidco. The construction and development span over 20 years. Many expressed their happiness over the rising demand for the node and its growth prospects.
The state govt has approved ‘Theme based and Iconic City Development’ to facilitate the development of bulk parcels through construction and development operator agreement.
The Cidco’s request for proposal has been opened from May 11. Interested bidders will have a pre-bid meeting with the Cidco officials on any issues on May 25. The marketing manager (commercial) has floated the tender with revenue sharing model.
The Airoli node is getting another link road joining Thane with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority green-signalling it. The road, through a bridge over the creek, will join near a top IT company. This will further improve connectivity and fuel growth in the region.
The Cidco announcement has increased the hope in the property market. Further, the Airoli-Katai Naka high-speed corridor work is in full swing. The node houses a number of IT companies on either side of the Thane-Belapur road. The upcoming township will further increase the growth by availing more flats to the residential demand needs.
Real estate sector player, Nitin Dighe, said, “This is the first such mass housing project on offer by Cidco in the node. The project will deliver more houses, hopefully at affordable prices, to meet market needs against the costly high-rises. The infrastructure will further get a boost.”
Local activist Surendra Gowda said, “The area is close to Mulund also. Presently, there are row houses and some buildings around the Cidco proposed site.”
