Centre removes Turkish firm Celebi from ground handling work at Mumbai and Delhi airports

Ravindra Chavan, BJP state president, announced on Friday that the central government has removed Celebi, a Turkish ground handling agency, from Mumbai airport. Chavan, speaking at the state BJP headquarters while welcoming labour leaders into the party, stated that these leaders had long opposed Celebi's involvement in ground operations.

MUMBAI: BJP state president Ravindra Chavan on Friday said that the central government has removed Celebi, the Turkish ground handling agency, from its role at Mumbai and Delhi airports. Chavan made the announcement at the state BJP headquarters while welcoming several labour leaders into the party.He said the leaders had long objected to Celebi handling ground operations at the airport. “I asked them to share their correspondence, and before I could approach the Centre, it had already taken the decision,” Chavan said.
