MUMBAI: A group of Catholic businessmen in the city who are striving hard to get their community involved in business initiatives will hold a global convention on January 13-14.
One of the founder directors of the group, Freddy Mendonca, said the idea of the convention is to open up areas of cooperation with businessmen in other countries. “Called ‘Entreprenet 2012’, the convention is being held as a joint initiative with Kanara Entrepreneurs, a group of Catholic businessmen from Kanara,’’ he said and will have businessmen from Dubai, Australia, the US and Canada.
The focal areas will be finance, business development, HR, technology and customer relations. “These meetings are easing the fear of business in the community,’’ said Clifton D’Silva, a financial consultant.
