THANE: A builder was shot dead by three unidentified gunmen on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Deepak Patil was travelling in his `Scorpio' when the assailants, who were in another `Scorpio', fired at him from point blank range near a bridge. He was badly wounded and died on way to hospital, they said.
The 42-year-old real estate developer hailed from Kalwa-Vitava area of Thane city, which is located in Mumbai's outskirts.
The gunmen managed to escape and a manhunt has been launched to nab them, police said, adding previous enmity may have led to the murder.
