MUMBAI: A fight between three friends at a tea centre, with shutters down, on Wednesday, left two of them dead and one injured.
While the cause of the fight is under investigation, Achole police said Shivam Dubey (19), owner of Namaste Tea Coffee Centre in Gala Nagar, Nalasopara (E) allegedly assaulted Rounak Tiwari (20) and Kisan Jha (19) with iron rods around 3pm.
The police found leakage in the LPG pipeline, raising suspicion if Dubey had tried to set the two on fire. While Raunak died before admission to the hospital on Wednesday, Kisan died early on Thursday at Shatabdi hospital in Kandivli.
The police said while Dubey is out of danger, his statement is still to be recorded.
