Binny Bansal back with e-tail startup

Mumbai: Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal has launched a new startup venture called OppDoor. Based in Singapore, the new age firm will help e-commerce brands expand their businesses on online marketplaces like Amazon, Etsy and leverage the platforms better to sell globally. Bansal could not be immediately reached for a comment.

OppDoor will help brands go global by providing them with a range of services like enabling them to formulate pricing strategies, make localised platform listings besides helping them navigate cross border taxation and compliance requirements. Basically, the startup will handhold brands through all the business processes required for global expansion. “Expanding globally requires understanding of local markets and customer behaviours, taxation and compliance, extensive partnerships with third party vendors. We do all the heavy lifting to provide seamless expansion,” according to the company’s website. OppDoor, which operates in the e-commerce space, defines itself as a technology enabled services company.
