, 390 of the 531 students who claimed seats, confirmed their admissions. On Friday, students with a score of above 60% had a chance to claim seats. Up for grabs were over 1.04 lakh seats across colleges in Mumbai metropolitan region.


On Wednesday, the education department had opened up the admission portal for students scoring above 80% to claim seats on first-come, first-served basis.

A few students, however, were turned back by colleges as they had scored lower than the special round cut-offs. “When we reached the college, the authorities told us that my son had scored lower than 90%, which was the special merit list cut-off. We then approached the education department. The college then agreed to admit him,” said the parent.
