MUMBAI: HaroonRasheedNaik, a prime accused in the 2011 Mumbai blasts that killed 27 people, on Saturday filed an application before the MCOCA court, seeking discharge from the three blast cases.
Naik is accused of sending Rs 10 lakh from Dubai to a Delhi-based operator through hawala in 2011. The state ATS has said Naik was trained in Afghanistan, where he met Taliban leader Osama Bin Laden and LeT chief Hafiz Saeed.

Advocate Sharif Shaikh filed the plea before judge YD Shinde. "Naik was arrested in September 2011 in a fake currency note case. Later, he was booked for the blasts and shown as one of the biggest catches," said an office-bearer of Jamiat-ul-Ulema, which is providing Naik legal aid.
In his application, Naik has said he had no clue about the blasts and has been framed.
