Partner, 2 others held for M’ngr trader’s death

Muzaffarnagar: Three people were arrested here on Tuesday for the murder of a city-based trader, Rafe Khan. on Tuesday. He was shot dead while on way home from his shop on January 17.

, Dilshad Khan, along with two of his accomplices allegedly murdered the trader. Dilshad planned the murder as he owed Rafe Rs 20 lakh and did not wish to pay him.

Rafe and Dilshad had a poultry feed business. The former had been demanding for long that Dilshad pay back Rs 20 lakh he owed him. As a result, Dilshad and two of his associates, Mehtab and Ikram, plotted Rafe’s murder. They shot him dead while Rafe was going home at Jogiya Khedi village under Fugana police station.

Initially, a case of murder was lodged against unidentified assailants at Fugana police station. Giving details, Nepal Singh, superintendent of police (rural), said, “ The weapon used to kill Rafe Khan was also recovered from the trio’s possession. Further investigation is on in the matter.”
