Ghaziabad woman’s decomposed body found draped in sheet, lens on husband

: A 38-year-old married woman was found murdered in her flat in Meerut’s

Ganganagar

area on Monday morning. Pooja Bhati’s decomposed body was found draped in a bed sheet in the flat when a police team broke open the door on neighbour’s complaint. After bearing the foul smell for a few days, the neighbours in the residential complex had alerted police.


Pooja’s husband Jasbir Bhati has been detained for questioning, a police officer said, adding that they are probing his “extramarital” affair.

The couple got married three years ago in a court.

“Prima facie, it looks like the murderer tried to carry the body in the sheet but was unable to do so. So he left it and fled. There are injury marks on her body. We are waiting for post-mortem report,” said
