Bijnor: Three people, including a 50-year-old man and his 25-year-old daughter, were killed after a speeding car rammed into a stalled e-rickshaw on Raipur Sadar Road in Najibabad on Sunday evening. The impact was so severe that all three died on the spot, police said.According to cops, an e-rickshaw driver, Dharam Singh, 24, of Kotkadar village, was returning home when his vehicle developed a mechanical fault. Rajkumar, 30, who was travelling in the e-rickshaw, got down to help push it.When the vehicle reached near the Bharat Gas Agency, a car coming from the opposite direction allegedly hit the e-rickshaw. A moped carrying Raju and his daughter Anshu, approaching from behind, was also caught in the collision.While Rajkumar, Raju and Anshu died on the spot, Dharam Singh sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Community Health Centre in Sameepur before being referred to a higher medical facility. Another passenger in the e-rickshaw was also injured.Circle officer Nitesh Pratap Singh reached the hospital after receiving information about the accident. The car driver is also undergoing treatment at a private hospital. "The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination, and legal proceedings are underway," the CO said.
