Uttar Pradesh: Auto turns turtle after being hit by water balloons, two injured

MEERUT: An auto-rickshaw turned turtle on a national highway near Baghpat after the driver was hit by a water balloon and lost control on Friday.
A video of it went viral on social media. Police took suo-motu cognisance and filed an FIR against two youths, probably minors. Baghpat circle officer Anuj Singh told TOI that an FIR was filed after a detailed investigation was done by the Kotwali police.
Cops discovered that there was a group of children playing Holi, throwing water balloons on passersby. One such balloon hit the driver of the auto, causing the vehicle to turn upside down. “We have booked two persons under Sections 337 and 338 of the IPC,” said Kumar.
In video, an auto on the Delhi-Yamunotri national highway could be seen turning turtle after the driver was hit with a water balloon thrown by kids. The incident took place on Holi in Kantha village, Baghpat town. Police went to the homes of the accused, who managed to flee from the spot. Cops suspect they are minors.
