Bijnor: A case was filed against 57 people after a clash between two groups led to stone-pelting in Saindpur Imma village under the Naugawan Sadat police station area of Amroha during
Bakrid celebrations.
Several people were injured in the violence, with some sustaining serious injuries and being admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Police said the incident was triggered by an old rivalry between the two groups, which flared up during Eid-related activities. The confrontation escalated when some individuals allegedly climbed onto rooftops and began pelting stones.
The case was registered under relevant sections of the BNS against 22 named accused and 35 unidentified persons.
Officials said efforts are underway to identify those involved through video footage and other evidence.
Heavy police deployment continues in the village.
