The department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Mangalore University, will organize a four-day Indian film festival to commemorate the 100 years of Indian cinema from March 5.

MANGALORE: The department of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ), Mangalore University, will organize a four-day Indian film festival to commemorate the 100 years of Indian cinema from March 5.
The festival will be held at the Old Senate Hall of the university, Mangalagangothri. Film director and producer Sadananda Suvarna will inaugurate the festival.

Films 'Well Done Abba' (Shyam Benegal, Hindi), Beru (P Sheshadri, Kannada), Veyil (Vasanthabalan, Tamil) and Adaminte Makan Abu, (Salim Ahamed, Malayalam) will be screened during the festival.
The films will be screened every day at 5pm at the Old Senate Hall and there is no entry fee, said Waheeda Sultana, chairperson, the department of MCJ.
