Tight security arrangements in place for TN CM Vijay’s Kollur visit

Udupi: Udupi district police have made elaborate security arrangements for the visit of Tamil Nadu chief minister C Joseph Vijay to the Mookambika Temple at Kollur on Friday.

Udupi SP Hariram Shankar said Udupi district police will handle the entire bandobast. Besides, around 40 personnel from Tamil Nadu police, including a DIG and an SP, will be part of the close protection team and security coordination arrangements for the CM.

As CM Vijay is a Z+ protectee, all prescribed security measures, including convoy security protocols, will be implemented during the visit. Officials said the CM has no scheduled public meetings or interactions during the visit. Necessary precautions have been taken, and security rehearsals have already been conducted to ensure a smooth and secure visit.



Meanwhile, devotees have been requested to avoid darshan at the temple between 12pm to 5pm to avoid inconvenience.
