Scooter rider killed in accident

Mangaluru: A man died in a scooter accident on Sunday. The deceased is Satish Acharya, 35. In a complaint, his relative, Prashanth Acharya, said that the accident took place when Satish went near Garuda Hall to meet an acquaintance on his father's scooter. While returning, Satish was riding the scooter along the service road and was crossing the road through an open divider near Supreme Hall. At that moment, a car driving from the Suratkal side hit Satish's scooter. The car was driven by one Aneesh. As a result of the collision, Satish fell onto the road along with the scooter and sustained serious injuries. He was immediately taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
