Rowdy sheeter murdered in broad daylight

UDUPI: A rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death in broad daylight at Kotanakatte under Hiriyadka police limits in Udupi district on Monday. The deceased Varvadi Praveen Kulal,35, was killed around 1.30 pm by three unidentified persons with whom he had a fight a little while ago in a bar and restaurant, police said.Praveen and his friend had gone to a bar and had a fight with three persons in the bar. The verbal duel continued even after both the parties came out of the bar. It was at that time that Praveen was attacked by the trio with lethal weapons. Praveen’s friend escaped with injuries. Udupi SP K T Balakrishna said Praveen was a rowdy-sheeter and was facing as many as 19 cases including two murders. Brahmavar CPI Srikanth is investigating the case.
