MANGALORE: J M Garg, chairman and managing director, Corporation Bank, also the chairman of Mangalore Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) said Mangalore TOLIC has carved a niche for itself among other TOLICs. Presiding over the 46th TOLIC meet here on Friday, Garg congratulated member organisations that have been awarded for excellent performance in the field of official language implementation.
K G R Kumar, AGM, Corporation Bank and member secretary, Mangalore TOLIC reviewed the performance of member organisations in the field of official language implementation and gave inputs and advise to improve their performance in this regard.
Vishwanath Jha, DD (implementation), regional implementation office, Government of India, ministry of home affairs reviewed the performance of Mangalore TOLIC.
Asit Pal, executive director, Corporation Bank presented shields and certificates to the member organisations in recognition of their outstanding performance in the field of official language implementation. The first prize for implementation was awarded to Syndicate Bank, regional office, State Bank of India, Mangalore Branch, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, and Employees Provident Fund Organisation, a press release stated.
Corporation Bank head office and All India Radio received a special prize for standing first consecutively for the fourth year. B N Satish, general manager, Corporation Bank and representatives of various government organisations were present on the occasion.
