UDUPI: Karwar naval base officials on Wednesday officially confirmed about finding the missing boat Suvarna Tribuja through a letter written to superintendent of police Nisha James. The boat, which went missing about four-and-a-half-months back, was found at 60 metres depth in the sea, 30 km off the Malvan coast in Maharashtra.
Nisha had demanded that the Navy provide clear information about finding the wreck of the Suvarna Tribhuja on Friday.

The letter from the Navy also gave detailed information about measures taken to find the fishermen and their boat, and also about the technology used. The letter stated that the operation was carried out from April 30 to May 2, and on the last day, at about 60 meters depth, they detected the boat off the Malvan coast. They said INS Nirikshak, special divers and sidescan sonar technology were used in the operation
