Karnataka Police raid beauty salon over illegal activities, trade licence cancelled; probe on

MANGALURU: Police conducted a raid on a beauty salon located under Urwa Police Station limits after receiving reliable information about suspected illegal activities.

The salon is reportedly owned by Sudarshan, a resident of Brahmagiri in Udupi.

Following the raid, a case was registered under Sections 3(1), 4, 5, and 6 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.

The investigation is currently underway.

According to DCP (Law and Order) Sidharth Goyal, a report was submitted to the Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner, recommending the cancellation of the salon’s business licence.

Acting on the report, the Commissioner revoked the trade licence.

Goyal added that strict action will continue to be taken against establishments involved in unlawful activities.
