Customs seize silver paint coated gold wires at MIA

MANGALORE: Custom officials at Mangalore International Airport (MIA) seized five silver paint coated gold wires weighing 406.108 grams from a passenger.
The accused is Abdul Basheer Puthiyavalappu Moideen Kutty, a resident of Puthiyavalappu in Thekkilferry post office in Kasargod district.
The contraband valued at Rs 12.14 lakh was concealed in the beading of a strolly suitcase that Abdul brought.Abdul arrived at MIA on board Air India Express 1x 814 from Dubai. Commissioner of Customs D Purushottam said further investigations are on.
