CBSE schools in DK perform well in Class 10 exams
Mangaluru: The CBSE schools across Dakshina Kannada district recorded strong performances in the Class 10 board examination results announced on Wednesday evening, with schools reporting a higher number of distinctions and an overall improvement over the previous academic year.Schools in Dakshina Kannada fall under the CBSE's Bengaluru region. According to school managements, students performed well in most subjects, though mathematics was described as comparatively difficult and lengthy.Fr Johnson L Sequeira, principal of Lourdes Central School, said the overall outcome was better than last year and pointed to the large number of students securing distinction as evidence of improved performance. He said mathematics affected the possibility of even better scores, as many students found the paper tougher than expected.School authorities said the early declaration of results would benefit students by allowing them to move ahead with admission and academic planning without delay.
