Anganwadi Worker’s Association president assaulted by in-laws

Udupi: District president of Anganwadi Workers' Association and vice-president of Prevention of Woman and Child Trafficking Committee Usha Naik was allegedly assaulted by her in-laws on Monday.
She is now taking treatment at Kundapur government hospital. Usha along with her child was staying with her in-laws her husban Raviraj Naik’s death in 2011.
Recently Usha was given census work and she used to carry out this work after attending Anganwadi duty.Her in-laws, who were not happy with her work, picked-up a fight with her on Monday and assaulted her.
A case has been registered against Nagaraja Naik, Mahesh, Sharada, Savithri and Vinay at Kundapur police station.
