CHIKKKAMGALURU: Three blackbucks were found dead with suspected gunshot injuries in Kadur taluk, according to official sources. The bodies, comprising two females and one male, all reportedly under two years of age, were discovered on private farmland near Basur Amrit Mahal Kaval, a blackbuck conservation reserve, on Tuesday, according to news agency PTI. Forest department officials, acting on information from local residents, visited the site and found evidence of gunfire as well as signs of vehicular movement in the area. A case has been registered, and investigations are underway to identify and apprehend those responsible. Post-mortem examinations have been completed, and samples have been collected for further analysis, amid concerns from locals and environmentalists about possible poaching.
