MP Kanimozhi has alleged the ‘worried ruling party’ was working in collusion with election commission to win the election using unlawful means.

“It is the ruling party that fears defeat and is engaging in fraudulent means (to win the election) in collusion with the election commission,” Kanimozhi said.

She was responding to chief minister Edappadi K Palniswami’s remark that the opposition was making allegations against the election commission for fear of defeat.

She was afraid the commission is having an alliance with the ruling party,” she said.

“Allegations against election commission are all over the country. The way it is functioning is raising a lot of suspicion,” she said. Talking on the row over shifting EVMs in Theni, she said candidates would have trust the election commission if the shifting was done after letting them know. “They should clarify on this,” she said.

Edappadi K Palaniswami was as unfit to comment on Stalin becoming the chief minister, she said. There was no need to respond to the chief minister and that the state was unlucky to have such a chief minister.

“Tamil Nadu will make Stalin the chief minister. It is inevitable,” she said. When asked on Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao’s trying to meet DMK President MK Stalin, she said that anyone can meet anyone but DMK and Stalin are clear on their decision.
