Nainar meets family of murdered girl

Madurai: BJP state president Nainar Nagenthran on Wednesday visited the family of the Class XII girl who was murdered near Vilathikulam in Tuticorin district recently. He expressed his condolences to the family, and handed over Rs1 lakh as relief.Nainar told reporters that the girl who went missing from the house was found murdered on Mar 11. Nearly eight days have passed, but the police had not yet arrested the culprits. He said the police should take effective steps to trace and arrest the accused. Criticising the law and order situation in the state, Nainar said several such crimes are reported in the state, especially against women and children. The state govt is not even able to appoint the director general of police, which reflects its state of administration, he added.
