Ludhiana: The Tibba police on Monday arrested two accused for firing at their neighbour following a minor dispute in Adarsh Colony of Tibba area. The police have also seized a .32 bore pistol, with three live cartridges and two bullet shells from the accused.
The arrested accused were identified as Sukhdeep Singh of Adarsh Colony and Sumit Singh of Ramesh Nagar.
On December 26, Sukhdeep Singh and his brother Lakhdeep Singh were involved in an argument with their neighbour Mohammad Naeem over blockage of sewerage in their locality. The argument turned violent when the brother duo and Naeem called their accomplices. During this tussle, Sukhdeep and his accomplices assaulted Naeem’s brother Asif. The accused also fired at least three gunshots in the air, before fleeing the spot.
Inspector Harjinder Singh, SHO, Tibba police station, said the police arrested Sukhdeep and Ramesh while other accused are still absconding.
