Ludhiana: The specially-abled children had a gala time on Thursday at an event where they obtained hairstyles of their choice that matched with those of their favourite Bollywood stars. This was part of an activity titled "spread smile" which was organized by two professionals -- artist Ayushi Gupta and a city-based hairstylist Sanchita Arora. While Ayushi Gupta made children explore their thoughts through colours and canvas, Sanchita gave them a makeover with latest hairstyles.
To add to the cheerful moments, a DJ party was also organized.
Raju, 14, who was much delighted on the occasion, innocently requested the hairstylist to give him a hairstyle like Shahrukh Khan. Then many other kids followed him and got hairstyles of their choice. Girls, however, preferred getting a pony tail hairstyle. Vikas, 10, exclaimed with a huge smile on his face: "I adore Yo Yo Honey Singh's hairstyle and I got the same. I shall flaunt this in front of all my friends."
Ramdas, 17, said, "I have problems with my right hand but I love to draw and design. Tips from professionals was a great help to me and they motivated me a lot."
Artist Ayushi Gupta, 23, said, "I do not believe in giving donations, I prefer that children should display their talent instead. Such events give them opportunities to showcase their talent. I would help kids good in singing and dancing to get training so they could have a good future."
