AMRITSAR: Sikh high priests often takes decisions on vital and significant issues under pressure , this was disclosed by none other but the former Jathedar of Takht Damdama Sahib Giani Kewal Singh while talking to media persons here on Monday.He also pointed a question mark on the procedure of appointment of Jathedar's of Takht and sought traditional way of their appointment by way of convening Sarbat Khalsa so as to make Jathedar's free from service rules of SGPC and an independent entity.Giani Kewal Singh was talking to media persons on the lauch of Panthic Talmail Sangathan, a conglomerate of nearly 100 Sikh organizations from across the world with a motive of resolving Sikh religious issue with common panthic consensus.He said Panthic Talmail Sangathan would press upon SGPC to generate a consensus among Panth before taking any significant religious decision . "We are people's voice and our sole weapon is logic" said Kewal Singh. He said the issues pertaining to Sikh community should not be decided in four walls but in the presence of representatives of Panth. Kewal Singh appealed to the jathedar of Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh to take decision on the demolition of Gurdwara near Waraich village allegedly by followers of Radha Swami sect without any pressure.eom
