Prime Minister Narendra Modi described India as a reliable and steadfast partner in Mongolia’s development following talks with President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa. The leaders reviewed projects across energy, defence, IT, education, and healthcare. Modi said the India-funded oil refinery project, backed by a USD 1.7 billion Line of Credit, would strengthen Mongolia’s energy security. Highlighting the spiritual and cultural connection between the two nations, Modi called India and Mongolia “spiritual siblings”, rooted in centuries of Buddhist tradition. Free e-visas for Mongolian citizens were also announced to boost exchanges and trade. The partnership, established in 1955, is set to expand into multiple sectors, with India reaffirming its role as a steadfast partner supporting Mongolia’s long-term growth and strategic security interests.
