LUDHIANA: Deputy commissioner Rahul Tiwari is all geared up for his next posting. But with the Times of India, he looks back, talking about some of his dream projects that await completion. Tiwari, a 2000 batch IAS officer, took over as deputy commissioner of Ludhiana in February 2010, always wanted city residents to get applications for licenses and other things online.
Tiwari said the drug de-addiction centres project, for which sites were finalized was close to his heart and he wanted to see it reach a logical conclusion. According to Rahul, the highlights of his career are successfully organizing the World Kabaddi Cup in the city, his nomination as one of the 13 best deputy commissioners from India and the only one from Punjab by the
Election Commission of India and the district being awarded for best revenue practices.
