Ludhiana jail break: Two accused arrested

LUDHIANA: The brother duo accused of Ludhiana jail break have been arrested by police on Saturday. While one accused was nabbed by Khanna police, another was held by Kurukshetra Police who would be brought to Ludhiana on Production warrant.
The accused Harvinder Singh and Jasvir Singh are notorious and have been booked in several cases. The accused have confessed to police that after escaping from Ludhiana central jail in May 2018 they reached Haryana and executed more crimes.

They also targeted several temples there.
SSP-Khanna Dhruv Dhaiya said that during questioning, it has come to notice that Jasvir Singh and his brother Harwinder were engaged in the number of criminal activities including thefts, snatching, robberies and also ATM sabotages for a long time. In order to commit these crimes, they were often disguised themselves as policemen & sometimes even as army men. Jasvir Singh & his brother Harwinder Singh breached the Andhra Bank Rasulra in the wee hours of February 23, 2018, stole the jewellery from the bank lockers and a .12 bore rifle.
The Khanna Police nabbed them and sent them into the Ludhiana central jail on judicial remand however from they managed to escape on May 14, 2018.
Further SSP Dhaiya told that the police have also recovered police uniforms of Haryana police, fake Aadhaar cards and stolen idols from the possession of accused.
