Acting on a tip-off that the suspects were traveling toward Ludhiana on an unregistered, stolen motorcycle, teams laid a trap to intercept them before they could reach their target.Investigators revealed that Harshdeep Singh is a repeat offender who was released on bail as recently as March 20 following a theft conviction. Police believe he began plotting this latest venture almost immediately upon his release to secure quick funding.A local court has granted police a two-day remand to interrogate the suspects further. The investigation is now focused on tracing the origin of the illegal weapons, identifying the source of the stolen motorcycle, and uncovering the financial network used by the Canada-based operative to move money into India.
