Butterfly Day in Ryan International

Students of Ryan International School, Dugri, celebrated Butterfly Day on Friday to teach students about the importance of butterflies to plants and human beings. The kids recited poems about butterflies and presented a dance depicting butterflies going from flower to flower and sipping nectar. They also made cards in the shape of butterflies and enjoyed various crafts. The small kids had a great fun and frolic on this day.
Students enjoy movie: Students of classes VII to X of Guru Nanak International Senior Secondary Public School, Model Town, watched movie "Meet Chalo Gurchali" on Friday. A quiz contest was held after the movie and students awarded prizes and trophies.
Athletic meet: Abdul Kadir, Sonu Kumar and Surinder Singh were the winners in the 800 metres race at the annual athletic meet of SCD Government College. Suraj, Dupinder and Sharad Rai won the long jump contest. On the first day, around 1,000 students participated in events like long jump, shot put, javelin throw, high jump, discus throw and various races.
