Agri varsity scientists get appreciation award

Ludhiana: Monika Choudhary and Amarjeet Kaur from the department of food and nutrition, College of Community Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), were conferred with the ‘Appreciation Award’ for their paper presentations at an international conference on ‘Prediabetes to diabetes- A trajectory of concern’. The conference was organised by the Lifeness Science Institute (LSI), in collaboration with the Knowledge partners- Nutrition Society of India and Indian Dietetic Association at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute, Mumbai. The awards were presented by Padma Shri Awardee Dr V Mohan, a renowned Indian diabetologist. The scientists were applauded for their research work on fatty acid profiling of bakery products and formulation of functional bakery products using foxnut, an aquatic super food.. tnn
